*Well this is my first article so bear with me!*
Recently one of our beehives died. We had to take out the old bee frames and we kept the wax that the bees made, that hung off the frames. It wasn’t very good wax because it had a lot of impurities (places where the queen laid eggs, but they never hatched) in it.
Okay, picture that you are the “bad” wax, you have a lot of impurities and you are no good. What we had to do with our wax was to melt it down to get the impurities out and separate the “good” wax from the “bad” wax.
So you are thinking that this has nothing to do with hidden treasures, right? WRONG!!! The wax was first impure and a brown/black color, but the keeper came in and melted down the impurities and made it usable. Now think of all the things wax can make! Like lip balm and hand salve and that is just two!
Where I’m going with this and what it has to do with hidden treasures, is that the “bad” wax was worth nothing until it was melted down and made wholly usable. Has Jesus melted you down and made you “wholly usable”? If not, then I suggest that you pray to Him and ask Him to.
“Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.” – Proverbs 10:2
“ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” – Matthew 6:19-21
