I wasn’t sure of what to write about for a long time, but God reminded me that writing about the things He has done for me gives Him glory and honor. So one morning, as I was writing a personal experience with Him in my journal, I thought that God might want me to share it with you, even if it was personal. (Anyway, shouldn’t our walk with the Lord be a very personal one?)
It was a beautiful day. I went outside, the wind blew, the sun shown and the birds where singing. I knew where I wanted to go … I walked though the tall grass in the field, as it waved in the wind. My mouth watered as I ate a leaf of some wood sorrel that grows there. I walked down the road in the red pines, the road looks like a cathedral with tall pillars and a colorful, glass roof. The poplar trees rang their little bells (leaves) with the sounds of the ocean – how beautiful they are!
I walked on a small trail and stopped at the base of the giant white pine tree. Oh … the fresh clean smell of the white pine. I climbed and climbed, up and up as the wind came to my special place, a branch blew all around me. I climbed till I way up in the tree where I love to sit.
Here is where there is only God and me. There are no distractions of the busy world. Here is where I love to pray and sing to my King. My Father in Heaven comforts me, renews my strength; He reassures me of His promises and my worth in His eyes; He washes away all my stress; and in it all I feel His great love for me. He has touched all of my senses, physical and spiritual, my cup of blessing is overflowing! Praise, Honor, and Glory be unto His name! That He would do so much for one so small as me!
Many times the Lord has provided for all my needs and more when I have sought Him and His will, laying all my cares at His feet. Also, many times I have cried out to Him when I was weak and He made me strong. When I did not love someone as I should, He gave me love like His own for that person. When I have found it hard to forgive, He reminds me of how much He has forgiven me. Or when I had no joy in my heart, He set my heart on fire for all that He is and has done. He has always provided for me when I was too weak and humbly went to Him for help.
Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
James 4:7-8 “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Isaiah 55:6-12 “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
2 Chronicles 7:14-15 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.”
Deuteronomy 4:29 “But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
Psalm 63:1 – 64:1 “O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. But those who seek my life, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. They shall fall by the sword; they shall be a portion for jackals. But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone who swears by Him shall glory; but the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.”
Psalm 27:1-14 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take care of me. Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”

IF you, in humility, seek and love the Lord with all your heart, ask what you will in faith, obey His commandments and wait on Him. I know wonderful things will happen, because it will be His will. May our Father in Heaven bless you all and may you also be a blessing to Him.
