October 5th: Today my life began! Mommy and Daddy don’t know. I am as small as the pollen of a flower, but it is already me! I will be a girl with dark hair and brown eyes. Nearly every detail is settled already.
October 14th: “Mommy, it’s me!” Some people say I am not a real person yet. But I am! My sex is even determined. Just as a crumb of bread is still bread, Mother is a person and so am I!
October 23rd: My mouth is beginning to open now. In just a year I will be laughing and soon I’ll start to talk. I think my first word will be “Mama!”
October 29th: My heart began to beat today. It will beat softly the rest of my life! After many years it will stop, then I will die and leave my own children behind.
November 5th: Wow! I have grown 10,000 times! My brain even has human proportions. “Maybe I’ll look a lot like you, Mommy! My arms and legs are shaping up. What will you say when my little legs lift me to your knee or when my tiny arms hug Daddy?”
November 12th: Delicate fingers are forming on my hands. One day I’ll be able to feel Mama’s hair. She will hold me close against her soft cheek and whisper, “I love you so much!”
November 18th: My brain waves could be recorded. But just today the doctor told Mommy that I am living here under her heart. How happy she must be! ” Are you happy, Mommy?”
November 23rd: I am not the potential for a human life, but a human life with great potential! “Mom and Dad, are you thinking about a name for me now?”
December 10th: My hair is growing, smooth and soft. My ears resemble the family pattern.
December 12th: I enjoy sucking my thumb! When my mother brings me into the world, I will feel the warm sunshine and see the pretty flowers. More than anything I want to see my mommy. I am bonded to her in love! “Mommy, I can hardly wait to see your loving eyes look into mine!”
December 24th: I listen to my mommy’s heart, and I am happy~ close to Mommy, snug and secure! I wonder, does she hear my little heart? It beats so evenly: tup-tup, tup-tup. “You’ll be glad I’m all healthy, Mommy!”
December 28th: “Mama, why? No! You are killing me!”
