My Dad started Life and Liberty ministries in 1994.
His website is: http://www.lifeandlibertyministries.com. It is a Pro-life ministry. He goes to local abortion clinics weekly, handing out literature about what abortion does to babies as well as women, and tries to get them not to kill their babies. One abortion clinic we go to is called Richmond Medical Center for Women. The abortionist is William Fitzhugh.
There have been many times when women have decided not to kill their babies. It is very encouraging when the babies live. My Dad has even been able to meet some of the babies that were saved after they were born! Here are excerpts from my Dad’s website that details some of the incidences where babies were spared from death at the abortion clinics. Whenever it says that I was preaching/ speaking, that is referring to one of the adults that were present that day.
#1 Paul Trout and Mary Penner arrived at Richmond Medical Center for Women, after one car had already arrived. Soon a man and his daughter came out of the mill. Mary called out to them and they came over to talk. The father shared that his other daughter was there for an abortion. He said that he had been praying that the Lord would stop this. He said he was a Christian and that he couldn’t stay inside because it felt evil. After talking with him for a while he went back inside and brought his daughter Amelia out to talk with Mary and Paul. She said that she was afraid her husband would leave her and take her 2 year old son if she didn’t have an abortion. After a long talk about the consequences of abortion and encouraging her to “trust in the Lord,” she finally said, “I’m not going to do it!” She hugged Mary and Paul and her father went inside to get her money back. A short time later he came out and said that he had told the woman at the desk that his daughter had changed her mind. He was told that he could not get the money but his daughter would have to come back later to get it. He told her, “No, she’s my daughter and she’s not coming back. What you’re doing is evil and you’re not getting my daughter or my granddaughter.”
# 2 Baby saved at Richmond Medical Center for Women. Denny spoke with a woman as she drove into the clinic. She listened and took his literature. She sat in her car for 20 minutes reading the literature. She then got out and walked toward the door of the clinic. I called out to her telling her that this was a place of death and that she knew it was wrong to go in and have her baby killed. She acknowledged that I was right and when I told her again about help available and the Crisis pregnancy Center, she came back over to me and took more information about the Crisis pregnancy Center. She then left.
#3 All praise to the Father for a baby saved today at Richmond Medical Center for Women! A couple came out as I finished preaching at the front windows of the clinic. As they came past us, they thanked us and said that they could see and hear me preaching from inside the building. They were very happy and looked quite relieved as they said that they were going to let the baby live. Hallelujah! They took Gospel literature and left.
# 4 Baby saved at Richmond Medical Center for Women. The couple took our literature and went to the Crisis pregnancy Center. It was closed but the Director of Bethany Christian Services saw them in the building that they share and took them into his office instead. They decided to let the baby live!
# 5 As with any other morning at the abortion clinic, you just don’t know what is in store. On this morning, I was joined by Sam, little missionary Judah, Lindsey, Gabriel, Faithful and Naomi. I preached in front as Sam and Lindsey covered the driveway to the clinic. Two abortion-bound women arrived and took literature from Sam. The woman said, “my mind is made up” as she passed. Once inside the clinic she read the literature to her husband over the cell phone. They both came to clearly see that it was wrong to kill their child and her husband told her not to do it. She came out and spoke at length with Sam and Lindsey. She then reentered the clinic to talk to her friend who was also scheduled to have her child killed. Her friend also decided to let her child live! About 4,000 babies are murdered every day in the USA. Women are also hurt by abortion. Sometimes it causes breast-cancer, depression, infertility and death. Often the women and girls going in are told its just tissue and not a baby, but does tissue have a beating heart, brain-waves, fingerprints and its own DNA? NO! Many women believe their child is unwanted, but there are thousands of couples out there who can’t have children and would love to adopt a baby. There are three abortion clinics in Richmond, VA that we try to go to. At one clinic we go to, called A Capital Women’s Health Center, the director does all she can so the women going in can not hear us. She will turn her car radio on real loud and leave the doors open and then set two other radios at different places and turn those on loud also. Why else would she do it unless we are not getting through to the women? Often my Dad takes some of us kids with him.
We will usually give out Gospel tracts to people walking by. We used to run a maternity home for pregnant women who had no place to stay. Young girls were often referred to us by churches, hospitals, Crisis Pregnancy Center’s and Social Service. We did that for nine years. About once a year, we go to different states. We go to Universities, Colleges, and places where there are lots of people, and hand out Gospel tracts and preach. We preach about the Gospel and a few different things, including abortion. We often get different responses like “My body – my choice”, or “Thou shalt not judge”, or “A women’s right to choose”, and “Keep your laws off my body!”
May YHWH have all the glory …
