In my recent personal study of the Bible, I found myself particularly drawn to these two highly informational, and highly applicable verses. I would like to share with you a short synopsis in my own words what I feel like God has told me through these verses.

~Titus 2:3-4~ The older women should be reverent (respectful) in their behavior. Not to gossip, and not be drunkards, but to teach on what is good. When they do these things, then they can train the younger women to love their husbands (or fathers if they are unmarried), and also to love their children (siblings). Also the older women should teach the younger women to be self-controlled, and pure. It is also the older woman’s responsibility to teach the younger women to be busy, productive at home, to be hospitable, and subject themselves (to be under their fathers/husbands authority), so that God’ word may not be dishonored.

Now I know that all of us are raised differently. I also know that we are all taught differently because each of our fathers interprets the Bible differently. But if we, as young ladies seeking to serve God, apply these truths in these verses and also those in Proverbs 31, then to borrow Elizabeth Bennet’s words, “She would surly be a fearsome creature to behold” ~ P&P.

So, I hope that you find my random ramblings to be encouraging and I encourage you all to seek after God. God Bless!
