We will only be publishing one more issue of Shining Stars Magazine. I’ll begin by saying, “I’m sorry”, because I know this will be disappointing to many of you. I’ll continue with an explanation in hopes that you will understand.
The theme of this most recent issue was The Inner Woman, and we looked at how to strengthen our inner being instead of just focusing on the outward accomplishments. If you would like to read it, you can order a copy by clicking here. There are some wonderful articles in it and many sisters in the faith shared great advice. The recurring theme is that in order for us to truly blossom on the inside, we must have opportunities for being refreshed and restored.
When I began Shining Stars, I had practically no other commitments besides finishing school and helping out around the house. It was easy and enjoyable to invest my time into this work! But things have changed in nine (almost ten) years. I began helping my family by operating a home business that took a huge amount of time. As the magazine grew, my responsibilities grew and I would often feel obligated to accomplish them while being overwhelmed with other tasks. So often I felt like I was rushing through life, trying to meet deadlines and commitments, with no time to really enjoy the journey. [Read more…]
