Let Us Reason Together!

Hey everybody! How are we doing?

Yep, it’s me again … feeling very tired after waking up at 5:00am this morning! Not to mention that my back is sore from falling backwards out of a tree yesterday … I know, I should have known better than to climb a tree, but after a busy day, it looked so fun … this is, until I found myself on the ground gasping for breath! Have you ever wanted to cry so bad but don’t even have enough air in your lungs to do it? Yep, that was me! And this morning I fell again so let’s see … I have a stiff back, two busted knees and a banged up arm! Oh well, at least I’m better now!

Today’s verse is from Isaiah. I wish I could have put the whole verse in, or better yet, the whole chapter but we would be here for a while!=)

Once again YHWH is trying to make a deal with the Israelites – “Come now, and let us reason together, saith YHWH.” Will we accept Him? Why don’t we let Him be a bigger part of our lives? You know He wants to be.

Would you like a challenge? If you’re like me, you would be in hands and feet (maybe that’s what gets me into so much trouble!) but really, think about this – because if you do it, you’re going to need to do more praying! Maybe you don’t have a problem in this area, but if you’re like me, you probably struggle with it too.

Do you have frustrations in your life that aren’t big enough to make a big deal about? Things you live with on a daily basis that you kind of consider as something you’ll always have to live with?

Recently, I was in a sort of grumpy mood, and was thinking about something that was bothering me, when I thought, “You know what??? I could just pray about this!!!” Really simple, right? You see, I had the built-in idea that we shouldn’t bother Him with the “little things”… but the problem is that people often don’t let Him in on the “small stuff”. The truth is, He is your creator, your magnificent, almighty God, and He wants to talk with you – yes, even in the little things. For instance, I was getting ready to buy a skirt that I had in my hand at the store but I thought I should ask Him about it first. I felt that He was saying no and it ended up that when I turned it around, I found a big rip!

I am convinced that if we would let him lead in the “little stuff,” this world be soooooo much better. Look at the normal life today… many of the problems we face are the results of our bad choices. If we had let YHWH lead us, how many divorces, fatherless children, homeless people, crimes, drugs, abuse, alcohol and murder do you think there would be? True, YHWH does give us trials to go through sometimes, but I think for the most part, we’re the ones digging our own hole. Would you agree???

So my challenge is to make a list of the little things that you’ve never thought of praying about. You won’t believe how many things keep popping into my brain!

He’s always there… just waiting for you and me. Will we ever give up our selfish wishes and ambitions for Him?

Okay, I should probably stop here …. my job on here was not to preach at anyone, only to post a picture with a verse …. guess I get off on rabbit trails sometimes, eh? :)

Anyways, Cheerio M’ladies!!!

NOTE: I NEED PICTURES!!! If you have any to share, that would be great! If you do, please do not put your name on the picture – I need certain spaces available for the text so if you send something to me, give me your name and I will put it under the picture. The theme is inspirational, though we do have exceptions! And yes, people are allowed to be in the pictures – anything pretty, inspirational, or something in that line! Be creative! E-mail me at: abigailaliyah@gmail.com. I can hardly wait to see what I get!!!

I agree with you Abigail! If we just turned to him for everything, we would make our lives easier. I really like how in Gen.25:22, Rebekah is having problems with the babies in her womb and it says so she went to ask YHWH.Something we should all try to implement daily in our lives. Thanks for the post, I really enjoy these!
