The whole purpose of Shining Stars is to encourage women to practice biblical womanhood. There is not a large selection of scripture concerning what biblical womanhood looks like and there are many different opinions on what those few scriptures allow and do not allow.
In Feminine By Design, Scott Brown addresses twelve pillars of biblical womanhood. Using scripture, he outlines the biblical role model that each woman should aspire to be. In the preface, Mr. Brown writes:
“Scripture does indeed place distinctive limitations on the roles of women and men. But, when it is God doing the limiting it is always a limitation that sets you free from the bondage of unworkable principles. It sets you free to be what you were created to be.”
Some of the aspects that are discussed include: An Image Bearer … A Helpmeet … A Woman Not A Man … A Demonstration Of Unfading Beauty … and more! I highly recommend this book for girls of all ages, especially those who are striving for the scriptural standard of what it means to be a godly woman.
